50 Balloons at 9AM
This morning as I ran along Sixth Avenue running an errand, I passed a man in a business suit carrying approximately 50 helium balloons of various colors. The bouquet of hot air was a splendid sight. I spotted it from more than two blocks away. As I passed him, I noticed that he had the most stern look of irritation on his face. How sad, I thought, to be carrying a bold bouquet of color through the streets of New York on a glorious Spring morning and to be frowning. What would Fellini have made of this, I wonder.
